Borsec resort, also known as the 'Pearl of the Carpathians'' is located at a distance of 26 km from the town Topliţa, on the national road Topliţa - Piatra Neamt in Borsec depression (formed by Călimani mountains (Pietrosul Peak 2100m), Bistriţa (1859), Ceahlău Mountains (Ocolaşul Mare 1907 m) and Giurgeului Mountains), northwest of Harghita county, at an altitude of 900 m above sea level. 

Access by train: 
by train to Topliţa and then by car 26 km to the resort of Borsec. 


Access by car: 
On National Road DN 15 from Bacău, Piatra Neamţ or Tg. Mureş. 
On National Road  DN 15B from Târgu Neamţ. 
On National Road DN 17B from Vatra Dornei. 
On National Road DN12 from Braşov, Sfântu Gheorghe (Saint George).
