Borsec resort, also known as the 'Pearl of the Carpathians'' is located at a distance of 26 km from the town Topliţa, on the national road Topliţa - Piatra Neamt in Borsec depression (formed by Călimani mountains (Pietrosul Peak 2100m), Bistriţa (1859), Ceahlău Mountains (Ocolaşul Mare 1907 m) and Giurgeului Mountains), northwest of Harghita county, at an altitude of 900 m above sea level.
